“One of the most talented young luthiers around. Jason Simpson builds beautiful great-sounding acoustic guitars. My main guitar is a Simpson.”

“Clean workmanship, elegant lines, and robust yet balanced in sound ~ these are the guitars crafted so meticulously by Jason Simpson.”
Michael Isla
“During the Newport Guitar festival it was my pleasure to meet Jason and Mandy Simpson of Simpson Guitars. We instantly made a connection as people and artists. Fortunately, the festival had one last performance spot where I could highlight these amazing guitars. I was instantly smitten with these instruments and we decided to work together.
Simply put, Simpson Guitars are aesthetically gravitational when you first see them. The only other element that overrides its outer beauty is the rich and profound tones that emit from the heart and soul of these guitars. Needless to say, my connection with these instruments became deeply personal and I needed to explore my creativity by owning one. Jason took the time to figure out exactly what I wanted in terms of sound, woods, feel and overall character. He not only created an instrument that met all of my expectations but exceeded it! Simpson Guitars are master grade, world class guitars built by a master artist and master luthier, Jason Simpson. In the past few months after receiving my Simpson guitar I have had the most explosive creative period of my life. So much music has been written it is taking months to organize it all into a new project! Every experience is different but one thing I know is any new Simpson Guitar owner will experience 100% absolute inspiration!”

“Jason Simpson is an example of the fine young luthiers that are appearing these days. I look forward to his future work.”

“I am really impressed with Jason and his work! I am a collector of handmade instruments and I must say that I was very pleased and relieved the day I picked up my guitar. In fact, I placed another order the same day.”
Brett McLaughlin
“Appearance — Well, this is stellar! I’ve had my hands on a lot of guitars, and have gotten really good at finding the little fit-and-finish issues that make great guitars… just good. The Simpson is perfect — a real cut above. My wife has commented several times that it’s clearly the most beautiful guitar I’ve ever owned.
Play-ability — Great, great, great. As anyone will tell you, Simpson necks play like Taylor necks, without any of the awful Taylor tinniness. Barres are simple and smooth, and the action is nice — low, but not so low that I don’t get a good feel of strings and vibration. The feel of the GA shape — and particularly the dramatic cutaway — make it so comfortable to sit and play.
Tone — Well, this is just great. It has a rich, complex sound — a real resonance and deep voice. Very, very warm, but not slushy! I couldn’t be happier. I’m simply stunned that I payed just under $6000 for this guitar — it has everything I could ask for, In short, it’s perfect, and I believe the best instrument I’ve yet owned.”
Paul Heumiller
“We love to see fresh ideas. Jason’s design is sleek and modern. He’s also managed to create his own voice that is beautiful and powerful. Every string is fat and rich, but always clear and concise. It’s a lot of fun to play a guitar that seems to have multiple gears. This one can cover Celtic to Blues without flinching. We are thrilled to offer this first of many guitars from Jason Simpson.”
Kris
“I love it! It really makes my other guitar sound like a cardboard guitar. I still “baby” it a lot. Everyone who sees it and plays it, totally loves it …the way it sounds…the excellent workmanship that you put into it. Thanks again and praise God for you and the gifts that He’s given you!”

“Hi Jason, I just wanted to send you a quick note to say how much I’m loving my guitar. The top is opening up beautifully, and the overtones are coming alive… just lovely.”
Ron Thacker
“Jason, Ron Thacker here. I’m the proud owner of #52. Brazillion Back and Sides with a Lutz spruce top. I own a few high end guitars (10+ and still collecting) and without question my new Simpson is the best of the best. The beauty is only outmatched by the sound. This is my first introduction to your guitars but I can already tell you it won’t be my last.”
